FOUNDATION CENTER COOPERATING COLLECTION {FC} The Foundation Center provides data on over 95,000 U.S. foundations and corporate giving programs. As a Foundation Center cooperating collection, Lancaster Public Library provides local access to the Foundation Center’s core print resources, as well as the Foundation Directory Online database (focusing on grant sources available to nonprofit organizations and the Foundation Grants to Individuals database (focusing on educational scholarships and research grants). Both databases can be accessed from any computer at the Duke Street Library. Licensing restrictions prohibit us from offering remote access to either database. Non-circulating print materials in this collection include the most recent editions of: The Foundation Directory Foundation Grants to Individuals Guide to Funding for International & Foreign Programs The National Directory of Corporate Giving In addition, the LeadWell Nonprofit Information Collection contains a number of Foundation Center titles that are also available for loan to Lancaster County library cardholders. These include: Foundation Fundamentals Guide to Proposal Writing Guide to Winning Proposals The Foundation Center website also contains a wealth of nonprofit information. Their Catalog of Nonprofit Literature is a searchable database that incorporates the unique contents of the Foundation Center's five libraries--including more than 28,000 full bibliographic citations of journal articles about all aspects of philanthropy. Many of these article citations have descriptive abstracts and/or links to the full-text of the article. If a full-text link is not included, you may request a copy of the article by emailing the citation information to us at dsbc@lancaster.lib.pa.us.
