The Business Start-up Toolkit is a valuable tool to assist you in starting your business.  It includes information about key library resources available at the Duke Street Business Center as well as links to specific web sites--including federal and Pennsylvania state sites--on the following topics:

 

  •  1.   Is business ownership for you?

  •  2.   Determine the type of business you want to start and research your market
  •  
  •  3.   Consult with business professionals
  •  
  •  4.   Determine the legal structure for your business
  •  
  •  5.   Choose your business name
  •  
  •  6.   Obtain your EIN and open a business bank account  
  •        
  •  7.   Register your business, investigate zoning and special licenses
  •  
  •  8.   Determine your startup costs and projected monthly income and expenses
