As one of the oldest public libraries in the country, we have been providing library service in Lancaster for over 250 years. Our three locations in the county include Lancaster City, Leola, and Mountville.
Pennsylvania authors and illustrators of note will visit the library each month, except July, with free programs and autographing sessions on First Fridays and the following Saturday mornings. Some will also do 90-minute paid workshops on writing or illustration at the library on the Saturday afternoons of their visits. Read more.

The POWER Library is a service of Pennsylvania’s public libraries, school libraries, and the State Library. The POWER Library provides access to thousands of full text periodical articles, newspapers, a major encyclopedia, plus photographs, pictures, charts, maps, and reference materials for people of all ages.
